Trustee Profiles

 

Robin James

Trustee

Robin worked for BT with a background in project management, systems, procedures and health, safety and environment eventually leading on procurement and waste environmental issues for ISO14001. Most recently, Robin was a part-time Information Manager for a Swindon based charity, promoting IT use in deprived areas, developing all key charity policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance. Robin chaired the Finance and Premises committees for both founding schools for a number of years and has been instrumental in working strategically with school leaders to ensure budgets are solvent.

 Anne-Marie Howroyd

Trustee and Chair of Finance, Audit and Estates (FAE) Committee 

Anne-Marie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy with over 30 years post qualified experience. She trained with one of the Big 4 Accountancy firms, KPMG in Birmingham and has spent most of her career as a Senior Finance Manager in both the NHS and in Local Government.

Whilst working at KPMG Anne-Marie was seconded as Head of Finance for a large Further Education College in the Midlands and was responsible for setting up financial processes and governance as the College left Local Authority control.

Anne-Marie’s most recent role has been as Deputy Director of Finance for Great Western Hospitals NHS FT in Swindon. Anne-Marie sits on our Remuneration Committee.

Jan Milsom

Trustee

Now retired after a varied and successful career in teaching, including headship of an infant and nursery school and as a local authority strategy adviser, Jan is equipped with the necessary skills to be an effective trustee who has sound knowledge and understanding of what effective governance looks like. Jan’s educational understanding enables her to lead strategically on standards and performance. Jan also sits on the Governing Bodies of a number of other primary settings in Swindon.

 

Scott Hazeldine

Trustee

Scott brings over 20 years of expertise in project and programme management, with a focus on business transformation, process excellence, and digital innovation. He has worked with prominent organizations such as RWE Renewables and Motorola, successfully managing complex projects and leading critical initiatives, including digital transformation, hybrid working models, and crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most recently, Scott has spearheaded change management in an initiative to digitalize project management at RWE Renewables. Prior to this, he has played pivotal roles in digital transformation, corporate innovation, pre-Brexit preparation, and post-merger integration activities.

As a trustee, Scott brings expertise in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and organizational change to support the Trust's mission of providing exceptional educational opportunities.
